Tell your supervisor you need to meet with a steward "about a possible grievance." Your supervisor is forbidden to ask you why; and must set up the meeting as soon as possible (the next day both you and your steward are working.) Only if your supervisor tells you to set up the meeting yourself, says no steward is available, or comes up with another excuse, call the Local 171 office, 232-9393, and our staff will forward a message to your steward.
